What does it do?

Okay, so technically this is the whole of office and 1TB of file storage, but for me it’s the “Word sub” and it’s probably worth it just for that.

Word is the single best single word processor ever made. If you write, you should have access to Word.

Why would I use it?

Because it’s the industry standard, word processor.

It supports collaborative document editing, change tracking, automated version control and saving (When using OneDrive) as well as being one of the only word processors that will support really long documents without falling down when you get to work.

I have written and edited a 120k document in Word and never had so much as a blip. If i edit the same document in any other editor, it dies. 🤷‍♂️

Also, as part of your subscription, you get unfettered access to office.com versions of the applications in the suite. The online Word is actually ‘fine.’
